Most dashboards measure how many calls your AI agent handled. That number is easy to inflate and easy to celebrate. But it says very little about whether your business is better off.
The metric that matters: booked appointments
The only outcome that reliably moves revenue is an appointment booked, an issue resolved, or a qualified lead captured. Everything else — call duration, hold time, answered rate — is a means to that end.
Here's a simple way to think about your funnel:
- Answered — the agent picked up instead of letting it ring out.
- Engaged — the caller stayed on the line past the greeting.
- Converted — a booking, a resolution, or a lead captured.
A high answered rate with a low converted rate means your agent is taking calls but not completing them. That points to a scripting problem, not a volume problem.
How we track it in the dashboard
The Everlight dashboard classifies each call into an outcome bucket and lets you see the booking ratio per agent. We use the call summary to detect booking language, so you don't have to tag calls by hand.
What to do with the data
Watch the trend over weeks, not hours. If converted rate dips after you change your agent's script, you'll see it immediately. If it climbs, double down on the phrasing that's working.
Measure the outcome, not the noise.
